With BullPEN, beef cattle producers can set EPD ranges, locate breeders, and search for bulls available through auctions or private transactions. The app enables users to save favored bulls to their personal BullPEN list.

BullPEN is a valuable tool for beef cattle producers seeking bulls that meet their specific operational requirements. By leveraging Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs), users can pinpoint bulls whose genetic lineage aligns with various pre-selected EPD ranges. Additionally, ranchers and cow-calf producers can identify bulls from particular seedstock providers using the unique BullPEN handle feature (@breeder_name) or by conducting searches based on partial bull or sire names. Detailed information regarding each bull's sale, breeder background, EPDs, and additional traits is readily accessible.

By compiling a list of preferred bulls within the BullPEN interface, users can conveniently reference this information when attending bull sales, ensuring they are well-prepared for their selections.

The platform supports bulls from nine distinct cattle breeds in the United States, including Angus, Hereford, Red Angus, Simmental/SimAngus™, Charolais, Shorthorn, Brangus®, Gelbvieh / Balancer®, and Limousin / Lim-Flex®.
